Frequently Asked Questions
Costs vary dramatically by procedure: breast augmentation runs $4,000–$10,000, rhinoplasty $5,000–$15,000, liposuction $2,000–$8,000 per area, and a full facelift $8,000–$25,000. Our Cosmetic Surgery Cost Estimator lets you select your procedure, region, and board-certification requirements to get a realistic all-in price range including surgeon fee, anesthesia, and facility costs.
Standard cosmetic procedures — rhinoplasty for appearance, breast augmentation, liposuction — are not covered by health insurance. However, some procedures have functional components that may qualify for coverage: rhinoplasty to correct a deviated septum, blepharoplasty for vision obstruction, and breast reduction for documented back pain. Pre-authorization is required and documentation standards are strict.
Most plastic surgery practices offer in-house payment plans and accept CareCredit (6–60 month promotional financing) and Alphaeon Credit. Personal loans through banks or medical lending companies (LendingClub, Prosper Healthcare) are another option. Our Cosmetic Surgery Financing Comparison tool helps you calculate total cost under each scenario based on your credit profile.
